# Core Contributors Worldbook Labs is a core driver the growth for Worldbook, led by [0xNerdz](https://x.com/0x_nerdz). The team used previously involved with algorithmic trading on DEXes and have since expanded to building DEX building as well. It seemed almost certain from the 2020 defi summer that order book dexes would have taken over the market. However, in early 2025, there still was no truly decentralized and permissionless order book exchange. The team felt that defi was being underserved, and hence the motivation for Worldbook. The team is set on providing the community with a platform to freely list and trade tokens without centralisation fears, in a fast and cost-effective manner.
